Lab Beagle Mix

A Lab Beagle Mix can also be called a Beagador or a Labeagle. This is a cross between two of America’s favorite dog breeds the Beagle and the Labrador Retriever. Some people call it a hybrid, but that is not correct terminology.

To figure out what the personality is of a Lab Beagle Mix, look at what its two parent breeds are like. Since both breeds are very loyal dogs that take commands well, you would expect that any Labeagle would also be very loyal.

Beagles tend to bark a lot, which Labs tend to be more reserved, so you can see a wide range in a Lab Beagle mix depending on how many genes that get from each dog.

As you might expect their weight can range any where from about 35 to 75 pounds or more depending on body condition.

Most people do love this mix because it produces a nice mellow dog that is easy to train and get along with. These dogs do shed quite a bit, since both the Beagle and the Lab do shed as well.

Training a Lab Beagle mix is much easier than training a pure Beagle, because they can focus for longer periods of time like a Lab.

There are a few breeders who do mix these dogs on purpose, but most that you find are the results of the breeding between two stray dogs, which is why you find most of them in rescues or shelters.

If you want a unique dog than is a great choice. Also the possible color patterns are limitless. From chocolate, blue ticked, to fawn yellow. A Lab Beagle mix is also great for a family with little children.
